Hitachi Energy liittää yhden maailman suurimmista merituulipuistoista Ison-Britannian sähköverkkoon
HVDC Light ® -siirtojärjestelmät liittävät Hornsea 3 -tuulipuiston ja mahdollistavat uusiutuvan sähkön yli kolmeen miljoonaan kotiin.
Hitachi Energy, sähköverkkojen globaali teknologia- ja markkinajohtaja on saanut merkittävän tilauksen Ørstediltä, maailman johtavalta uusiutuvan energian yhtiöltä. Hitachi Energy toimittaa kaksi suurjännitetasavirtajärjestelmää (HVDC) vihreän sähkön siirtämiseksi Hornsea 3 -tuulipuistosta, joka sijaitsee yli 120 kilometrin päässä Ison-Britannian itärannikolta.
Tuulipuisto tuottaa jopa 2,85 gigawattia uusiutuvaa sähköä, mikä riittää kattamaan yli kolmen miljoonan kodin sähköntarpeen Isossa-Britanniassa. Yli 200 tuulivoimalaa lähes 700 neliökilometrin*1 alueella tulee olemaan yksi maailman suurimmista yksittäisistä merituulipuistoista. Hanke on merkittävä askel kohti Ison-Britannian energiastrategian tavoitetta jopa 50 gigawatin merituulivoimakapasiteetista vuoteen 2030 mennessä. *2
Hitachi Energy on tukenut verkkoliitynnöillä Ørstedin Hornsea 1*3- ja Hornsea 2*4-hankkeita. Hornsea 3 on ensimmäinen, joka käyttää HVDC-sovellusta.
Koko HVDC-järjestelmä, mukaan lukien offshore-alusta, toimitetaan yhteistyössä Aibelin*5 kanssa. Hitachi Energy toimittaa kaksi HVDC Light ® -muuntojärjestelmää ja Aibel kaksi HVDC offshore -muuntoalustaa. Alusta perustuu Hitachi Energyn modulaariseen HVDC-järjestelmään, ja sisältää edistyneen valvonta- ja suojausjärjestelmän MACH™. Kun HVDC offshore -markkinat kasvavat ja monimutkaistuvat, Hitachi Energy kehittää jatkossakin ratkaisuja asiakkaidensa ja kumppaneidensa kanssa mahdollistaakseen joustavamman offshore-verkon tulevaisuudessa.

Hitachi Energy toimittaa neljä HVDC-muuntoasemaa, jotka muuntavat vaihtovirran tasavirraksi merenalaisissa kaapeleissa siirrettäväksi ja siitä uudelleen vaihtovirraksi mantereen verkkoon. Muuntoasemista kaksi asennetaan offshore-lauttoihin ja kaksi mantereelle.
